Vet Visit & Beach Trip

We had a furry nice weekend, what about ya'll? Friday evening we went on a car ride with Mom and Dad. Mom had to go to the library to return some books Dad had to go to Lowes to pick up some stuff for our garden (more on that later). We got to go into Lowes with Mom and Dad. Mom mostly looked at flowers and stuff while Dad did his shopping. The nice lady at the checkout wanted to give us some treats but she was out.

Lowes it right near Hairy Winston and we needed some bully sticks so Mom said we might as well pop in. They had just gotten a new shipment of bully sticks and boy were we glad! They are bigger and better. We got to love on the ladies before we had to go back home.

Saturday we had to get up and go to the V-E-T. It was time for Lexi's wellness visit. (By the way, Mom forgot to post about Lexi's Gotcha Day which was April 29th. The hoomans have been busy at work and neglecting us! The nerve!) Everything went good at the V-E-T. The doc said Lexi looks great and remarked on her teeth. He said she should be a teeth model! BOL! What silliness is that? They did have to stick her to get some blood but they said she was a trooper. Boy were we both so happy to leave that place!

Lexi in the car on the way to the V-E-T.

We then headed to the beach. We found a nice open spot where there weren't too many peoples (Mommy doesn't like crowded beaches furry much), and we set up our blanket and umbrella. Mommy took us down to the water but we don't like that foamy stuff chasing after us.

We saw this guy in the ditch by our house when we were on the way to the beach. Isn't he cool? Mom wouldn't let us talk to him though.

These guys were all over the place. There were lots of birdies and some kind called seagulls that kept diving into the water and then bobbing around.

The view from our blanket.

Down the beach. Do you see all those peoples???!!!!

We watched these two guys surf. Mom says we don't have furry good surfing waves...unless there's a hurricane coming. These guys were haven't much luck.

Lexi loves laying in the sun.

We both do!

Mommy and Daddy were taking us down to the tidal pool.
Lexi loves laying in the sand!

But we also like to lay on the blanket beside Mommy.

Chillin' on Mommy's back. I thought she would look great with a Bentley-shaped tan line. Don't you?

We had a nice day at the beach with the hoomans. It was nice and sunny and there was a steady breeze to ruffle our short Chihuahua coats. When we got back home, we took a nap while Mom and Dad went to eat lunch. We spent the rest of the day hanging out with them.

Sunday the hoomans went to the beach but didn't take us. Daddy wanted to go fishing, which meant he wouldn't be able to help watch us. And since they were going to a different beach than the one we normally go to, Dad thought it would be better if we stayed home. We caught up on sleep while the hoomans were gone. We would have liked to go though. Mom said we can maybe go next time to that beach. She has to check the rules about doggies first.

When they got back, we hung out with them the rest of the day. We LOVE cuddling with the hoomans! Mom promised we could go back to the beach again this weekend. We had a nice relaxing weekend. We hope you all did too! We are looking forward to spending lots of time with Mommy and Daddy this coming weekend.

Oh, how we would love to have a beach weekend - that water looks so fun. And just think of the huge holes we could dig. All we seem to get lately is rain, rain, and more rain.

You guys are so lucky to go to the beach. We haven't been to the lake yet this year because the weather has been cold and rainy, but that's changing.

We met six dogs like you today. We helped rescue them so they can find happy homes. Mom really enjoyed cuddling with them.
