Charleston Dog Show 2010

On Saturday, we took Mom and Dad to the Charleston Dog Show in downtown Charleston. Some of you may remember from when we posted about going last year. Mom actually remembered to bring her flashy box this year.

We got there a little later than we had planned but Mom said she didn't want to be out there all day, especially since there were supposed to be scattered thunderstorms. Luckily, we didn't get wet and there way no thunder while we were there. It was very sunny and HOT.

We headed for the Hairy Winston tent first so that we could see Ms. Jennie. She gave us nummy treats, as always. Mom says she spoils us but we don't mind one bit! Then Mom wanted to walk around and see what else was going on. There were lots of peoples and lots of doggies everywhere! It was a little bit of a sensory overload for us. We just looked and sniffed and tried to sort it all out.

After making our rounds, we ran into our dear furiend Rigby! You remember Rigby, right? He's our teensy weensy little cousin that we met through Club Chihuahua and Hairy Winston.

Here is Rigby. Notice his handsome PADH!

Here we are together. Do you see the size difference? This is 2.5 lbs versus 5 lbs of Chihuahua!

Chihuahuas sharing the love.

The little guy gets so excited when he sees his furiends.

One of the contestants in the Toy Breed show.

And another.

It was hot, we were thirsty, so Dad got out our little water contraption. Rigby was thirsty too. He drank for like 5 whole minutes!

Isn't he adorable? He was a big attraction at the show.

A Papillion getting judged.

A Pomeranian waiting to be judged.

We can tell exactly what she thinks about THAT.

Look at that floof!

Hey, there is a larger cousin of our Uncle Rascal.

Cute puppy but he had a little trouble walking. He was all over the place.

Sitting pretty.

Woah! Look at this girl. She is HUGE! She makes like 1,000 of us! She is very lovely though.

This was another teensy Chihuahua cousin of ours. We didn't catch her name but she was nearly as small as Rigby!

Miss Drama Queen was very well-behaved. Only a couple of grumbles because some kid with no parents tried to hit her in the head with a balloon.

Rigby with his Mama.

Would you look at that handsome boy sporting his PADH?

This lab puppy was hiding behind his Mama's legs and peeping at us.

The Toy Breed contestants.

Mom fell in love with this guy. We tried to ask him what his name is but he didn't answer. We thought maybe he knew the OP Pack.

Two cutie patootie poodles. Do you think they know Mollie and Bobo?

This cutie patootie is a Chiweenie cousin of ours. We forgot her name but she was furry nice.

This strapping lad is Bentley. He was a furry friendly cousin.

This is the difference between 10 lbs of Chihuahua and 2.5 lbs of Chihuahua!

The best way to travel!

We had a lot of fun at the show but we were furry tired and ready to go back home after a couple of hours walking around and seeing our furiends. We spent some time lovin' on Ms. Jennie and Ms. Donna at the Hairy Winston booth but then it was time fur us to go home. It was a long walk back to the car but Mom and Dad carried us so it wasn't too bad.

We climbed right into our carseat and went to sleep. The ride home wasn't nearly long enough for a nap but Mom let us nap when we got home. Then it was off to Hairy Winston (the store this time, not the booth) to get some sunscreen for our beach trip the next day. More on that to come.

Mom saw this flower on the way back to the car and just HAD to get a picture of it. We figured it is a nice ending to our post. :)
