There were a lot more hoomans there with their doggies this year. We even saw one young hooman with a Chinchilla on a leash! BOL! Funniest thing EVER. There were lots of different doggies and TONS of our cousins. A lot more than attended last year. It was like a Chihuahua family reunion. BOL. Mom was a little disappointed because there weren't as many vendors there, but our most favoritest, Hairy Winston, was there with a huge tent! Of course we stopped by to say hello a couple of different times. There were lots of hoomans and their doggies under the Hairy Winston tent. It was certainly furry popular.
Mom actually let us walk around some this year. Last year she didn't because honestly she didn't trust the other doggies' owners, but she felt confident enough to let us walk some this year. Plus, she was trying to hold on to one of us (Dad had the other), Lexi's carrier, AND her big ole camera. She was having lots of trouble taking pictures juggling so much stuff so letting us walk made more sense. She said she was furry proud of us because we were very well-behaved. There was so much to sniff and smell that it was slow going at first.
We stayed for a couple of hours waiting on the line for the Lowcountry Dog Magazine cover model photo shoot to dwindle down so we could have our photo taken. Once it was short enough, we got in line and waited to have our picture taken. Mom was a little upset with the people though because they had a red cooler with a slippery top for us to stand on. It was not very comfortable or safe for us doggies. Mom was quite perturbed about it but didn't really say anything. She wanted to drape a towel across it for us and all the poor doggies behind us, but she didn't have one with her. That combined with the fact that she wasn't furry impressed with the picture-taking skills of the photographers from last year, she isn't very hopeful about how these photos will turn out. Besides, we think she takes wonderful photos of us herself!
Look at this gorgeous girl. Mom loves her coloring.
This guy was HUGE! Wonder if he knows Mango?
This was a long lost cousin of ours. She was a little bitty long coat Chihuahua puppy. Isn't she adorable?
And another of our cousins. She was right cute herself!
I see spots! Oh wait, it's just a Dalmatian.
BOL! What a lovely little flower.
Mom and Dad went nutso over this girl. Maybe she knows Khyra.
We think this guy is a toy poodle. He was furry curly and cute.

More of our cousins. They were so cute in their matching shirts.
This was a teensy little cousin of ours. He looked to be about Rigby's size.
Another huge guy! We should have asked him if he knows the Relentlessly Huge.
This handsome fella is an Italian Greyhound. His hoomans were furry nice.
This is Zoey. She "works" at Hairy Winston. She is the Charleston County Parks Dog Parks Mascot. She is a furry nice girl.

Meeting another cousin of ours.
Yes, that is me, Bentley, in the red.

A puggle! Mom thought this guy was just so cute. We think we're cuter, but that's just us! BOL.

This little one must be a "cousin" of our cousin Jewels'. This girl was a lot nicer and calmer though.
Making a new pug friend.
This treat was at the Hairy Winston tent. Yum!

Dexter? Is that you?

We made furiends with this little Silky Terrier too.
This guy was loving the pools!

And this guy had some fun in the sand.

Mom wasn't able to take as many pictures as she would have liked but we think she got enough. She did forget to take pictures of us together though. But, you guys get to see pictures of us every day, so we figured you wouldn't be too disappointed. BOL.
A Note from Mom: As most of you already know, Lexi tends to be a bit of a drama queen when we are out in public and there are other dogs around. She isn't very fond of strange dogs approaching her and is quite vocal about it. I was a little worried at how she would do at Pet Fest this year but decided to take her anyway. It's good exposure for her and I hope it helps to desensitize her to the presence of other dogs. She totally and completely surprised me. She didn't make a peep the entire time we were there. We carried her and Bentley for the first few minutes we were there and then decided to see how they did on their leashes. Lexi was absolutely perfect. She was a little timid, but she walked alongside me so well and didn't fuss at any of the dogs nearby. Bentley is my little social butterfly and always does well in social settings so I wasn't really worried about him. He met dogs on the leash and was very friendly. At one point a very large yellow lab rushed up to him and startled him, but he was very good about it. Needless to say, I came away being a very proud Mommy. I didn't want to stay too long and completely over-stimulate both of them so we left when they showed the first signs of being tired. It ended up being a very nice experience and I can't wait until next year!

Wow! That looks awesome!!!
We're having an event like that this weekend! Bark in the Park...I'll make sure mom takes awesome photos like your mom! Sooo many cool doggies! (but you guys looked even better!!)
What a fun day! I wish we had more things like this around here! We do have a walk in a park in a town near here that I go to sometimes. I took my boys last year. It was a little disappointing because there weren't as many vendors as in years past but I still got some freebies at least!
That Pet Fest looked like bunches of fun!!
Smileys!
Dory
Wow does that look like it was fun! We don't have anything like that within 150 miles of here! Such a shame!

coco and the little devil
Oh what fun!! We all thoroughly loved all the pics of the beautiful puppers. And I'm so glad to hear Lexie did so well! My pups tend to be like that as well - if they are introduced to a setting that is already busy with people & dogs they don't make much of a fuss. But if they are in a quite settings (such as a walk) and come across a person or dog(s) they tend to flip out a bit. Very strange but I'm glad you decided to take Lexie as it sounds like she was a star! YAY!!
What a fun time you had!! I never knew we had so many chihuahua cousins!! There are tons of us.
I think the PetFest is coming our way. I hope I can go.
