We had a furry nice Easter. Did all of you? We spent Easter in Mom & Dad's hometown. We stayed with Mimi and Uncle H. Mimi wasn't feeling very well so we were sure to give her lots of loving to make her feel better. Our step-granddad was up and moving around and we were furry happy to see it. He has had a rough time health-wise lately.
On Saturday, we got to see Beemer and Jewels. We weren't too happy seeing Jewels but we were furry happy to see Beemer again. Dad says that Beemer might be a daddy again!
Dad had a project to do with his family at the river so we left him there and went to Mimi's house. Mom had a headache so while she rested, we took turns laying with her and laying with Mimi to make Mimi's sickies go away. We think we did a pretty good job!
Sunday wasn't like our normal Easter Sunday. We normally have several different places to go, but not this year. Dad's grandma was in the hospital so the hoomans didn't get together at her house for Easter dinner like normal. And our Nanny wasn't home, she was at her beach house, so we didn't have Easter dinner with her either. We stayed with Mimi while Mom and Dad went to eat with our grandma and then we spent time with Mom, Dad, and Uncle H.
It was a nice weekend but we were furry glad to come home that afternoon. Mom forgot to take pictures so the only pictures we have are the ones from yesterday's post!
(Note from Mom: Lexi was an especially good nurse to my Mom last weekend. My Mom was pretty stuffy and just all around didn't feel very well so she spent most of her weekend on the couch resting. When we got there on Saturday, Lexi climbed on the couch with my Mom and wrapped herself around my Mom's neck. She laid with her, gave her periodic kisses, and just tried to love her back to health. I asked my Mom if she realized how big of a deal it was that Lexi was giving her kisses. Lexi is pretty selective with her kisses and usually reserves them for me and the Munchkin Daddy. It is very rare that she will kiss someone else, even those she knows and loves well. But she could tell that my Mom wasn't feeling well and was giving her kisses trying to make her better. It was such a sweet and endearing moment. It touched my heart more than I can tell you and it showed Lexi's true nature. She really is a sweetheart even if she is a fiesty little drama queen in public when she meets other dogs. Bentley did his share of nursing too. He and Lexi were seeming to rotate between me and my Mom. Silly munchkins!)

What wonderful pups to take care of grandma!

That was a sweet story about Lexi taking care of her Grandma like that. They truly do know when us humans aren't feeling well, a couple of weekends ago Steve was sick with a very bad cold and stayed on the couch the whole weekend, and the peanutheads were right there with him!
Hugs, Nadine
What a sweetheart Lexi is! She knew her Mimi was sick and needed her so Lexus played nurse and did what she could to make Mimi feel better!
Sometimes at night Shiver likes to lay across the front of my neck and gets annoyed when I make him move because I can't breathe. Other times he insists on laying on top of me while I go to sleep.
Hope everyone's feeling better now!
A nice quiet weekend is sometimes just the ticket. You were so good to take care of grandma so well Lexie...I hope you got a good treat.

Draco
It sounds like it was a good time for all the hoomans to be able to rest.
